First Profession 6th January 2020 (Vizag)
“Here I am, You called me.”
On 6th January 2020, Visakhapatnam Province had a reason to celebrate, as we paused to consider God’s presence and action in the lives of these two Novices and their generous and loving response. It was the cause of joy, uppermost in the minds and hearts of all those who have gathered there. At 11.00 am the solemn Eucharistic celebration began with the entrance procession. The two Novices to be professed came forward with the lighted lamps in their hands to offer themselves to the Lord, accompanied by their parents on either side. The Provincial, Novice Mistress and the Priests joined them in the entrance procession. The solemn Eucharist was celebrated by Rev. Fr. Vincent CSSR, who helped them with the retreat to prepare themselves during their last days in the Novitiate. He also gave them an inspiring homely on Vows and availability to the Lord, on that day. During the solemn Eucharist they made their First commitment to Lord. As a sign of their new life, the Provincial Superior Rev. Sr. Rose gave them a warm welcome to their new family, the Congregation of the Sisters of St. Joseph of Annecy. At the end of the Holy Mass, one of the newly professed thanked all those who helped them to reach this great day. After that they were led to the dining room for further celebration. Then all parted for the agape. It was a memorable day for the Sisters of St. Joseph of Annecy, Visakhapatnam Province, especially for the newly Professed, Sr. Mounika and Sr. Teresa and for their families.
