“Called to a Greater L ove”
In God’s own time, the dream of three young East African Novices, came to fruition on June 5th 2024. Novitiate stands as a core of one’s Religious Formation. It was the grace of God that the three of us made our first commitment. It was a day of grace, a day of joy for us, and the dear Congregation, to our parents & relatives.
As Jesus, the first formator had many disciples but few were chosen as Apostles, we are chosen from many who remind us the truth of our lives, many are called but few are chosen. On that special day we felt very happy and recalled the many wonders God has done in our lives, through us to the Congregation. What we have longed for and desired has come to its fulfilment not because of anything good we have done but because of God’s unconditional love towards us. Indeed, it was an occasion of great joy and happiness which we cannot express.
This led us to understand that though many people in the world choose the easy way still there are many people who take the narrow way. The life we had just embraced is the kind of life of those who are called to follow the life of Christ more closely by practicing the Vows of Chastity, Poverty and Obedience in a radical manner.
Religious life is for us the unique grace and opportunity to Glorify God and to serve Him in our brothers and sisters. Who shall separate us from the love of Christ?
