JUNIOR DRILL DISPLAY 2023: St.Joseph’s Girls high school, Cuttack
DRILL-stands for Discipline Respect Integrity Learning and Leadership. It is a sporting opportunity for all ages promoting discipline, coordination and musicality. Psychologically it develops a sense of team work, and self control. They exhibit their skills and synchronicity through dance drill.
On 24th November,2023,we witnessed the spectacular Drill Display of the Junior section. Mr Satyajit Mohanty, retired IPS, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. The programme commenced with the welcoming of the Chief Guest, his introduction and felicitation. There was Prize Distribution Ceremony, where the little ones were motivated with certificates and mementoes.
The programme started off with the much awaited drill display, by the students of Nursery. They displayed their skill to the foot tapping numbers.Following them, were the students of the Preparatory class, who equally mesmerized the audience with their colourful drill. Std I presented a wonderful display of Urban Prop Dance with rings, flags and shiny props.
There was a spectacular display of a beautiful garden full of colourful butterflies, beetles and flowers, nodding their heads in a sprightly dance, by the students of Std II. Class III presented the theme of importance of sports in a student’s life. Class IV displayed a Kaleidoscope of shapes and formations, using props of different colours and shapes. Last but not the least, Class V, presented the wonderful theme of ‘Pride in our teachers and Alma Mater – our School’.
The proud parents witnessing the programme, went back home enchanted, carrying beautiful memories of their tiny tots’ performance. It was an evening worth remembering.
