Earth Day
Bhubaneswar Province celebrated 22nd April 2021 as Earth Day. The day was celebrated with much grandeur, awareness of our duty towards our mother earth, and praying to the creator God to be merciful to his best of artwork which is nature itself.
Communities were encouraged not to limit the day in the chapel with prayers alone but to do our part to make it a real day of celebration. It is the birthday of our mother, as she plays the role of our mother who sustains and keeps us alive. The prayer prepared by Sr. Henrietta was sent to all the communities with suggestions for actions. Communities were given the freedom to choose their own community activities and to add creativity to the prayer. “Earth can survive without us, but we cannot survive without the earth” this perception exhorted us to respect, love, and protect our mother earth.
