A Day of Grace and Renewal — April 23rd: Blessing of Maison St. Joseph

Wednesday, April 23rd, will stand out as a day of grace and renewal in the annals of the French Delegation, marked by two important events that filled our hearts with joy.

After being closed for many years, the Grand Chapel was reopened for the celebration of the Holy Mass, thanks to the initiative of the Diocese. From now on, the Holy Eucharist will be celebrated there every Wednesday, offering a sacred space once again to the faithful.

To mark this new beginning, Fr. Vincent Rossain, our Parish Priest, and Fr. Samuel, MSFS, concelebrated the inaugural Mass. Sr. Breda and her team, Sisters from neighboring communities, and several parishioners gathered to celebrate this blessed occasion.

Immediately after the Mass, we proceeded to the blessing of the newly renovated Maison St. Joseph. This house is envisioned as a place of welcome, offering an opportunity for those seeking a spiritual experience — whether for retreats, days of recollection, or pilgrimages to the cradle of St. Francis de Sales and St. Jane de Chantal.

We were especially encouraged by the presence of the Vicar General, Fr. Emmanuel Blanc, and priests from the Deanery, whose support made the day even more memorable. After the ceremonies, we shared a joyful time of fellowship at the Maison St. Joseph, grateful for the gift of new beginnings.

Truly, it was a day when the Lord blessed us with renewal, hope, and the joy of being together once more in His name.
