A memorable day for the French Delegation

Srs. Mary Luke, Dominic, Shobha, and Sujatha

October 9th, 2024, marked a special occasion for the Sisters of the French Delegation. The day was filled with joy and celebration as they honoured the feast day of Sr. Tessy, the Person Responsible for the Delegation, and welcomed four new Indian Sisters to the French Delegation.

The centrepiece of the celebration was the Holy Eucharist at the Grand Chapel, followed by an agape meal. The presence of Sr. Breda and her Councillors added to the festive atmosphere. During the introduction, Sr. Raymonde Marie expressed gratitude to Sr. Tessy for her dedication and commitment to the Delegation. Sr. Tessy, in turn, welcomed the Indian Sisters, Mary Luke, Dominic, Shobha, and Sujatha, to their new mission. She assured them of her support and prayers as they embark on this challenging journey.

The Eucharistic celebration was graced by Fr. Vincent, the Parish Priest, and Fr. Samuel MSFS. The choir, led by Sr. Elisabeth Udrisard, added to the solemnity of the occasion. In his homily, Fr. Vincent emphasized the importance of embracing new challenges and spreading the good news through our way of life. After the Holy Eucharist, a delicious agape meal was enjoyed by all, with contributions from various communities. The feast day cake was cut by Sr. Tessy, joined by the Indian Sisters.

The Indian Sisters then entertained the gathering with a prayer dance, a French skit, an Indian dance, and an action song. The laughter and fun filled the hall, leaving everyone with a sense of joy and camaraderie.

The celebration was a testament to the spirit of community and the shared mission of the sisters. As the Indian Sisters begin their new journey in the French Delegation, they can be assured of the support and prayers of their fellow sisters.
