Sisters of Saint Joseph of Annecy

Experiences of our Juniorate Programme

We, junior sisters of the East African Mission Territory, with heartfelt gratitude, thank God for the opportunity granted to us to attend juniorate course in Lumen Christi Institute (LCI) – Arusha. We are grateful to our Superior General and her team, our mission Leader and the entire Congregation for granting us this opportunity to attend this course for three months.
We were ten participants from five different congregations and nationalities. We had a chance to learn from other sisters, those who have already lived and experienced religious life for some years and are preparing for their final profession.
We had three months course which started on 1st March 2024 and ended on 25th May 2024. The course was based on Spiritual formation, Psychological insights, Canonical knowledge and Doctrinal education. It was very effective for our religious life. It strengthened our faith and spiritual life. It has increased our knowledge and understanding on living our religious life and building a good relationship in the
community, through the classes on vows and community life.
We came to discover our personalities with its strengths and weaknesses, and how to respect and accept others with their personalities. We also had a group therapy which helped us to realize our wounds and experience inner healing. We thank you so much dear sisters for your love, concern, prayerful support and all the sacrifices you made for our sake. Praying for each of you.
Srs. Gaudensia, Sylivia, Angera and Filomena.
