Final Profession - Bhubaneswar
“All that I have I surrender to you, Lord”
It was a great and joyful day for our province when three of our junior sisters Sr. Sravanthi, Sr. Shanthi Maria and Sr. Amala made their final profession on 13th October 2019 at St. Vincent’s Pro-Cathedral, Bhubaneswar.Sr. Archna greeted the gathering with the words of welcome.
The Solemn Eucharistic Celebration began at 11 am with the entrance procession by the candidates. Most Rev. Archbishop John Barwa SVD was the main celebrant and there were about 15 priests who concelebrated the Eucharist.
“All that I have I surrender to you Lord” with these words of self surrender the three young sisters approached the altar of God. Sr. Linette, the Provincial Superior, and Sr. Leena the Provincial elect, Sr. Maria, the Provincial Councilor and their Formator Sr. Joseline were present. The Archbishop gave a most inspiring homily highlighting the importance of the day for the three sisters. The sisters pronounced their vows in the presence of the great gathering and the Provincial Superior Sr. Linette accepted them. sisters from most of our communities and many religious from other congregations had come for the celebration. The parents and relatives of the three sisters were present to witness the ceremony. Sr. Justine and her team led the melodious choir. It was really very harmonious and fitting for the occasion.After the mass the three sisters were felicitated and all participated in fellowship meal where everyone joined and shared the blessings which God has pleased to shower upon us.
